A couple of years after Maestro successfully renovated the north end unit at Koo’s Corner, a neighbour in the newer part of the development brought us in to personalize their kitchen with a distinct palette of materials. We skillfully protected the clients’ living space and relocated their kitchen activities to the dining area so we could replace counters and backsplash while minimizing disturbances. The existing knotty fir cabinets, reclaimed rail trestle flooring and stainless appliances were retained and complemented with a new figured maple butcher block counter and live-edge maple eating bar.
Custom stainless welded sink, counter and perforated drying rack
Iridescent glass subway tiles paneled the backsplash walls
Large-format slate under the eating bar
