Hastings-Sunrise kitchen

The owner of this beautiful heritage house is restoring its original wooden finishings one room at a time. Maestro stepped up to redo the kitchen in this phase. After gutting to the studs and laying out the new kitchen plumbing and lighting, the walls were spray foamed and plastered, and the floor was replaced with cork and finished to tie in with the original fir floors in the adjacent rooms. Maestro’s craftsmen then restored the wood windows, trim, wainscoting and picture rail and stained them to match the weathered shellac on the coffered ceiling and wainscoting in the adjacent dining room.
